LH vs RH - What is the difference?

We see it so often but the difference between the LH and the RH we see on the braille tactile signs is often a point of confusion for many. In reality however, the difference is very simple.

If you transfer to the left out of the wheelchair then that would require an LH sign because as the user is moving to the left.

Alternatively, if you are required to transfer to the toilet moving to the right then that would require a RH sign.

LH or RH is only required for accessible toilet signs.

Handy Hints for fitting your Braille Tactile Signs

Our signs come with a high grade, high tack self adhesive double sided foam tape to the rear to ensure the easiest possible experience when installing your signs.

Ensure the surface you are fitting your signage to is clean and free of any contaminants. It is always recommended to clean the surface with a good quality isopropyl alcohol prior to fitting. Things like dirt, residue, wet paint and moisture can adversely effect the adhesion, so care must be taken at this stage.

For rough and porous surfaces it is recommended a high quality adhesive such as Grip and Grab or Liquid Nails be used to hold the sign in place.
